Job Overview

We are currently seeking a highly meticulous and detail-oriented Laboratory Quality Control Chemist to join our growing operations in Mopeia. Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine chemical analysis on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using HPLC, GC, and UV-Vis spectroscopy.
• Validate and verify analytical methods to ensure accuracy and precision in all testing procedures.
• Maintain and calibrate sensitive laboratory equipment to prevent downtime and ensure data integrity.
• Document all test results accurately in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
• Investigate deviations from quality standards and recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Collaborate with the production team to optimize chemical formulations and minimize waste.
• Ensure strict adherence to ISO 17025 standards and local environmental safety regulations.

Required Skills

• Advanced proficiency in analytical chemistry techniques and laboratory instrumentation.
• Strong mathematical skills for calculating concentrations, dilutions, and statistical variances.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to precision in data recording.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and safety protocols.
• Ability to interpret complex chemical data and communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple testing priorities simultaneously.

Education

A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a closely related chemical science field is mandatory. Advanced certifications in laboratory management or specialized analytical techniques are highly desirable.

Experience

Candidates must possess a minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience working in a controlled laboratory environment, preferably within the chemical or pharmaceutical manufacturing industry. Proven experience with automated analytical equipment is essential for this role.

Salary

The monthly salary for this position ranges from 45,000 SSP to 65,000 SSP, depending on the candidate’s level of expertise and technical specialization.
