Job Overview

The Data Privacy Officer will lead Vodacom Mozambique’s privacy program, ensuring compliance with the Mozambique Data Protection Law, GDPR, and industry best practices. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive data privacy policies and procedures.
• Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) for new projects, products, and services.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with local and international privacy regulations, including Mozambique Data Protection Law and GDPR.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for data subjects, handling access, correction, and deletion requests.
• Collaborate with IT, Legal, Marketing, and Customer Service teams to embed privacy by design.
• Lead privacy training programs and awareness campaigns for all employees.
• Prepare and submit regular compliance reports to senior management and regulatory bodies.
• Manage data breach response, including investigation, notification, and remediation.
• Stay updated on emerging privacy trends, legal developments, and industry standards.

Education
