Job Overview

The International Freight Forwarding Supervisor will lead a team of forwarders and coordinate end‑to‑end shipment processes for import and export cargo originating from or destined to Tete. This role ensures compliance with customs regulations, optimizes routing, and maintains high service standards for clients in mining, agriculture, and manufacturing sectors. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily freight forwarding operations, ensuring timely and accurate documentation for all shipments.
• Manage customs clearance processes, liaise with Mozambican customs authorities, and resolve any regulatory issues.
• Coordinate with ocean, air, and road carriers to secure optimal rates and transit times.
• Lead, coach, and evaluate a team of forwarders, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on‑time delivery, cost per shipment, and customer satisfaction.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance efficiency and compliance.
• Collaborate with sales and account management teams to identify new business opportunities.
• Prepare regular operational reports for senior management and provide actionable insights.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of international freight regulations, Incoterms, and customs procedures.
• Excellent negotiation and carrier management abilities.

Education
