Job Overview

Join Suez Mozambique’s pioneering urban development team in Pemba as an Infrastructure Planner. This role will shape the future of coastal city planning through integrated transport systems, flood mitigation strategies, and sustainable housing projects. The position offers opportunities to work on cutting-edge urban regeneration projects while contributing to Mozambique’s national urban development agenda.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement urban infrastructure development plans for Pemba
  • Conduct feasibility studies for new transportation corridors and public spaces
  • Develop 3D urban modeling simulations for coastal resilience projects
  • Coordinate with municipal authorities on zoning regulations and building codes
  • Lead community engagement initiatives for participatory urban planning
  • Prepare technical reports for urban development funding applications

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in GIS mapping and urban design software (ArcGIS, AutoCAD)
  • Experience with coastal city planning and climate adaptation strategies
  • Strong project management capabilities for multi-disciplinary teams
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of Mozambican urban development policies and regulations
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English

Education
