Job Overview
This role is part of Vestas’ initiative to expand wind energy capacity in Mozambique, supporting the country’s transition to clean energy. The Renewable Energy Project Coordinator will oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of wind energy projects in Inhambane, ensuring alignment with technical, environmental, and community standards. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to Mozambique’s renewable energy future while working with cutting-edge technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver wind energy projects on time and within budget
- Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for new wind energy installations
- Engage with local stakeholders, including government agencies and community leaders, to secure project approvals
- Monitor project compliance with environmental and safety regulations
- Prepare progress reports and present findings to senior management
Required Skills
- Proven experience in renewable energy project management
- Strong understanding of wind energy technologies and systems
- Excellent stakeholder communication and negotiation skills
- Fluency in Portuguese and English
li>Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera)
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field
- Master’s Degree preferred but not required
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in renewable energy project coordination
- Experience in Mozambique or other African markets is a plus
Salary
2,500,000 – 3,500,000 SSP per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
