Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced diagnostic testing on high-pressure hydraulic systems to identify leaks, pressure drops, or component failures.
- Oversee the maintenance and overhaul of hydraulic pumps, motors, cylinders, and control valves.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for heavy machinery hydraulic circuits.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to troubleshoot complex system integration issues.
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior technicians on hydraulic safety and best practices.
- Ensure all hydraulic repairs comply with international safety and environmental standards.
- Maintain detailed documentation of all system repairs and maintenance activities.
Required Skills
- Expertise in reading and interpreting complex hydraulic schematics and technical blueprints.
- Advanced proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as pressure gauges, flow meters, and electronic testers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting intricate fluid power systems.
- In-depth knowledge of hydraulic fluid properties and contamination control.
- Excellent communication skills for reporting technical findings to management.
- Ability to work effectively in remote and challenging field environments.
Education
A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fluid Power Technology, or a closely related engineering discipline is mandatory. Professional certification in hydraulic systems or heavy equipment maintenance is highly preferred.
Experience
Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in the maintenance and repair of heavy industrial hydraulic systems. Previous experience in the mining or large-scale construction sectors is essential. Proven track record of managing complex hydraulic troubleshooting in the field is required.
Salary
The monthly salary for this position ranges from 45,000 SSP to 75,000 SSP, depending on experience and technical expertise.
