Job Overview
The Hydrometallurgical Process Engineer will play a critical role in our Mueda operations, focusing on the optimization and management of leaching, solvent extraction, and electrowinning processes. Key Responsibilities
- Design and optimize hydrometallurgical circuits including leaching, purification, and metal recovery stages.
- Monitor real-time process data to identify deviations and implement corrective actions immediately.
- Conduct pilot-scale testing to evaluate new reagents or process modifications.
- Collaborate with the geological and mining teams to ensure ore characteristics are accounted for in process design.
- Oversee the management of chemical reagents and ensure efficient consumption rates.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all metallurgical processes.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for equipment failures or process instabilities in the plant.

- Advanced proficiency in metallurgical modeling software and process simulation tools.
- Deep understanding of chemical thermodynamics and reaction kinetics.

Education
