Job Overview

The Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring quality systems that ensure all Nestlé products manufactured in Lichinga meet stringent safety, regulatory, and consumer expectations. Working closely with production, R&D, and supply chain teams, the engineer will lead audits, develop corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain HACCP, GMP, and ISO 22000 quality management systems.

• Collaborate with R&D to validate new product formulations and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Analyze production data using statistical tools to monitor trends, detect deviations, and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare and present quality performance reports to senior management and external regulatory bodies.
• Lead training sessions for production staff on quality standards, hygiene practices, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Support the launch of new product lines by ensuring all quality documentation and certifications are in place.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, HACCP, GMP, and ISO standards.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, SPSS) and data‑driven decision making.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and experience with root‑cause analysis techniques.
• Effective communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration and stakeholder reporting.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
• Fluency in Portuguese and English, both written and spoken.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or HACCP Practitioner are highly desirable and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.

Experience

Applicants must have a minimum of three to five years of hands‑on experience in quality assurance within the food and beverage manufacturing sector. Experience with multinational corporations and exposure to international quality standards will be viewed favorably.

Salary
