Job Overview
The Senior Hospitality Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily functions of our premier resort in Pemba. Key Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee all departmental operations including front desk, housekeeping, and food and beverage to ensure seamless guest journeys.
- Implement rigorous quality control measures to maintain international luxury standards across all guest touchpoints.
- Manage departmental budgets, labor costs, and procurement processes to maximize profitability without compromising service quality.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of department heads and supervisors through continuous performance management.
- Analyze guest feedback and operational data to identify trends and implement corrective action plans.
- Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to drive occupancy rates and optimize seasonal revenue strategies.
Required Skills
- Advanced leadership and team management capabilities in a high-pressure environment.
- Expertise in Property Management Systems (PMS) and advanced revenue management software.
- Exceptional communication skills in English and Portuguese is highly preferred.
- Strong financial acumen, including P&L management and cost control strategies.
- Strategic problem-solving skills with a focus on guest-centric solutions.
Education
A Master’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is required. A Bachelor’s degree with significant relevant experience may be considered in exceptional cases.
Experience
Candidates must possess a minimum of 7 to 10 years of progressive experience in hospitality operations, with at least 4 years in a senior management role within a 5-star hotel or luxury resort environment. Proven track record of managing large-scale teams and achieving high guest satisfaction ratings is essential.
Salary
The offered salary for this position ranges from 85,000 SSP to 125,000 SSP per month, depending on experience and performance metrics. This is a competitive package designed to attract the best talent in the industry.
