We are seeking a Digital Payments Compliance Analyst to ensure that all payment processes adhere to local and international regulatory standards. The role involves monitoring transactions, conducting risk assessments, and implementing robust compliance frameworks. Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily payment transactions for suspicious activity and ensure adherence to AML/KYC regulations.
  • Conduct periodic risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for emerging compliance threats.
  • Collaborate with product, legal, and operations teams to embed compliance controls into new payment features.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory reports to the Central Bank of Mozambique and other relevant authorities.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of local and international fintech regulations, including GDPR and PCI DSS.
  • Provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders on compliance best practices.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex transaction data.
  • In‑depth understanding of AML, KYC, and payment industry regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
  • Proficiency in compliance monitoring tools and data visualization software.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to risk management.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required. Relevant certifications such as CAMS, CFE, or similar are highly desirable.

Experience

Minimum of 3‑5 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or regulatory affairs within the financial services or fintech sector. Prior experience with digital payment platforms is a strong advantage.

Salary

The role offers a competitive salary range of SSP 250,000 to 350,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and benefits are included.
