Job Overview
The E-commerce Logistics Optimization Specialist will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing advanced logistics strategies to support our growing e-commerce footprint in Mozambique. This role is focused on maximizing efficiency within our supply chain, reducing transit times, and optimizing warehouse throughput using data-driven methodologies. You will be responsible for analyzing complex datasets to identify bottlenecks in the delivery network and implementing automated solutions to mitigate them. This position requires a blend of analytical rigor and operational expertise, as you will need to translate high-level data insights into actionable field operations.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, warehouse managers, and local transport partners, to ensure that our logistics network is robust and scalable. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze large-scale logistics datasets to identify inefficiencies in the regional supply chain.
- Develop and implement optimization models for route planning and vehicle utilization.

- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to order fulfillment, delivery accuracy, and cost per shipment.
- Lead continuous improvement projects using Lean Six Sigma methodologies to reduce waste in the distribution process.
- Integrate cloud-based tracking systems with local warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Forecast demand patterns to optimize inventory placement across regional hubs.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, or R for data analysis and modeling.
- Deep understanding of Supply Chain Management (SCM) principles and e-commerce logistics.
- Expertise in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
- Strong project management skills with experience in implementing large-scale operational changes.

- Excellent communication skills in both English and Portuguese.
