Job Overview

Skanska Mozambique is seeking a Green Building Consultant to lead the design and implementation of sustainable construction projects in Chinde. This role will focus on integrating eco-friendly materials, energy-efficient systems, and waste reduction strategies into new developments, ensuring compliance with international green building standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sustainable construction plans for residential and commercial projects.
  • Conduct energy audits and environmental impact assessments for proposed developments.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and local authorities to ensure compliance with green building regulations.
  • Provide technical guidance on renewable energy integration, water conservation, and sustainable materials.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to sustainability goals and timelines.

Required Skills

  • Proven expertise in green building certification systems (LEED, BREEAM, or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of sustainable construction techniques and materials.
  • Proficiency in energy modeling software and environmental impact analysis tools.
  • Excellent project management and cross-functional team coordination skills.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Portuguese preferred.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
  • Professional certification in sustainable construction (e.g., LEED AP) is a plus.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sustainable construction or environmental consulting.
  • Previous project management experience in Africa or emerging markets.

Salary

1,500,000 – 2,500,000 MZN per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
