Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and charismatic Hospitality Guest Relations Manager to join our elite team in Pemba. This role is pivotal in ensuring that every guest who walks through our doors experiences the highest standard of personalized care. The Guest Relations Manager acts as the face of the hotel, bridging the gap between luxury service expectations and operational delivery. You will be responsible for managing guest feedback, overseeing VIP arrivals, and coordinating with various departments to ensure seamless service delivery. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the guest relations team to ensure consistent service excellence.
- Act as the primary point of contact for VIP guests and frequent travelers.
- Proactively identify potential guest issues and resolve them before they escalate.
- Coordinate with Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Concierge departments to fulfill special guest requests.
- Analyze guest feedback and reviews to implement service improvement strategies.
- Maintain a deep knowledge of local attractions and dining to provide expert recommendations.
- Oversee the guest check-in/check-out experience for high-profile clients.
- Ensure all guest preferences are recorded and acted upon for future visits.
Required Skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English and Portuguese.
- Advanced problem-solving abilities and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Proficiency in Property Management Systems (PMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- High level of cultural sensitivity and emotional intelligence.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced luxury environment.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration, or a related field is mandatory. Professional certifications in luxury service standards are highly preferred.
Experience
Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a high-end hospitality environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role. Proven experience in handling VIP clientele and managing complex guest relations scenarios is essential.
Salary
The monthly salary for this position ranges from 45,000 SSP to 65,000 SSP, depending on experience, qualifications, and performance metrics. This package is competitive within the local market and reflects the seniority of the role.
