Job Overview

The Public Relations Officer will play a critical role in managing the brand reputation and external communications for Vodacom Mozambique, specifically focusing on regional engagement in Mueda. This role is essential for maintaining a positive relationship between the company and its diverse stakeholders, including government entities, local communities, media outlets, and non-governmental organizations. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies to enhance brand visibility in the Cabo Delgado region.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for local media and manage all press releases and media inquiries.

  • Monitor public perception and manage crisis communication to mitigate reputational risks.

Education

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field is mandatory. Advanced certifications in Corporate Communications or Digital Media are highly preferred.

Experience

Candidates must possess at least 5 years of professional experience in public relations, corporate communications, or media management. Previous experience working within the telecommunications or technology sector is a significant advantage. Proven track record of managing stakeholder relations in diverse cultural environments is essential.

Salary

The monthly salary for this position ranges from 45,000 SSP to 75,000 SSP, depending on experience and performance metrics.
