Key Responsibilities

• Conduct field surveys to collect water samples and assess parameters like pH, turbidity, and nutrient levels.
• Analyze data using GIS and statistical tools to identify pollution trends and ecosystem health indicators.
• Collaborate with local stakeholders to develop water conservation strategies and community education programs.
• Prepare technical reports and present findings to government agencies and international partners.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement water quality improvement projects.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in water sampling techniques and laboratory analysis.
• Experience with environmental monitoring software (e.g., ArcGIS, Water Quality Analysis Plus).
• Strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement and report writing.
• Ability to work in remote field conditions with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of Mozambican environmental regulations and international water standards.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Hydrology, or related field.

Experience
