Job Overview

CyArk International is seeking a Digital Heritage Archivist to lead the digitization and preservation of Mozambique’s cultural heritage. This role combines technical expertise in 3D modeling with cultural sensitivity to document and protect heritage sites in Quelimane. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct 3D laser scanning and photogrammetry of heritage sites in Quelimane
  • Develop digital twins of cultural landmarks using specialized software
  • Collaborate with local historians to contextualize digital archives
  • Manage metadata and geospatial data for heritage sites
  • Produce interactive digital exhibits for public engagement

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in 3D modeling software (Blender, SketchUp, or equivalent)
  • Experience with photogrammetry and laser scanning equipment
  • Strong understanding of cultural heritage preservation principles
  • Fluency in Portuguese and basic knowledge of local indigenous languages
  • Excellent project management and cross-cultural communication skills

Education

Salary
