Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Privacy Compliance Officer to join our legal team in Mueda. This critical role is designed to ensure that all data processing activities within our regional operations comply with local Mozambican laws, as well as international standards such as GDPR. As the energy sector becomes increasingly digitalized, the protection of sensitive corporate and personal data has become a top priority. This position involves developing, implementing, and monitoring comprehensive data protection strategies to mitigate risks and ensure transparency.

The successful candidate will act as the primary point of contact for data protection inquiries and will work closely with IT, HR, and operational departments to embed privacy by design into all new projects. Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 to 7 years of professional experience in legal compliance, specifically focusing on data privacy and information security. Experience within the energy, oil and gas, or large-scale industrial sectors is highly preferred. Proven track record of managing complex regulatory audits is essential.

Salary

The offered salary for this position is between 85,000 SSP and 125,000 SSP per month, depending on the candidate’s expertise and experience level.
