Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior UX Designer to join our specialized product team in Nampula. This role is critical to our mission of creating seamless, intuitive, and engaging digital experiences for our diverse user base. As a Senior UX Designer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design process, from initial user research and wireframing to high-fidelity prototyping and usability testing. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers to translate complex user needs into elegant, functional, and aesthetically pleasing interfaces. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct extensive user research and usability testing to understand user behaviors and pain points.
- Create detailed user personas, journey maps, and user flows to guide the design process.
- Develop low-fidelity wireframes and high-fidelity interactive prototypes for complex digital products.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure design feasibility and high-quality implementation.
- Establish and maintain comprehensive design systems to ensure consistency across all platforms.
- Mentor junior designers and contribute to the overall design culture within the organization.
- Analyze product metrics to iterate on designs and improve user engagement and retention.
Required Skills
- Expert proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
- Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and accessibility standards (WCAG).
- Strong ability to communicate design decisions to non-design stakeholders.
- Exceptional visual design skills, including typography, color theory, and layout.
- Proven experience in creating complex design systems and component libraries.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret user data and translate it into design solutions.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Computer Science, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree in a specialized design field is highly preferred. Candidates must demonstrate a strong portfolio showcasing their design process and problem-solving abilities.
Experience
A minimum of 5 to 7 years of professional experience in UX/UI design is required. Experience working in a large-scale software development environment or a high-growth tech startup is highly desirable. You must have a proven track record of delivering successful digital products that solve real-world user problems. We value candidates who have experience working in cross-functional, agile teams.
Salary
The offered salary for this position ranges from 85,000 SSP to 125,000 SSP per month, depending on experience, skills, and performance during the interview process.
