Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Senior UX/UI Designer to join our growing product team in Nampula. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end design process, from initial user research and wireframing to high-fidelity prototyping and developer handoff.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive design systems that ensure visual consistency across multiple product lines.
  • Conduct usability testing and gather qualitative feedback to iterate on existing user interfaces.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure technical feasibility of designs and high-quality implementation.
  • Mentor junior designers and contribute to the overall design culture within the regional office.
  • Translate complex data sets into intuitive dashboards and visualization tools for enterprise users.

Required Skills

  • Expert proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Sketch.
  • Deep understanding of user-centered design (UCD) principles and accessibility standards (WCAG).
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating advanced skills in typography, color theory, and layout design.
  • Exceptional communication skills to present design concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret user behavior data to drive design decisions.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Computer Science, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree or specialized certifications in UX/UI design will be considered a significant advantage.

Experience

Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in UX/UI design, preferably within a software-as-a-service (SaaS) or enterprise software environment. Proven experience in managing complex design systems and leading design initiatives is essential for this senior-level position.

Salary
