Job Overview
The Cybersecurity Operations Center (CSOC) Analyst will be responsible for monitoring, detecting, and responding to security incidents within our complex network environments. This role is essential for maintaining the integrity and availability of our cloud-based services and on-premise systems. You will act as the first line of defense, utilizing advanced security tools and threat intelligence to identify anomalies and mitigate potential breaches before they impact our clients. This is a high-impact role that requires a proactive mindset, technical expertise, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts from SIEM, IDS, and IPS systems to identify potential threats.
- Perform initial triage and investigation of security incidents to determine scope and impact.
- Collaborate with incident response teams to contain and remediate security breaches.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and coordinate patching efforts.
- Analyze threat intelligence feeds to proactively identify emerging attack vectors.
- Document all security incidents, investigation steps, and remediation actions in detail.
- Assist in the development and refinement of security playbooks and standard operating procedures.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and network monitoring software.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and other core networking protocols.
- Strong knowledge of common attack vectors such as phishing, SQL injection, and DDoS.
- Ability to analyze log files from firewalls, servers, and endpoints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for reporting technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field is required. Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), or CISSP are highly preferred and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.
Experience
Candidates should possess a minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or a similar cybersecurity role. Proven experience in incident response, threat hunting, or vulnerability management is essential for success in this position.
Salary
The monthly salary for this position ranges from 45,000 SSP to 75,000 SSP, depending on the candidate’s experience, technical expertise, and performance during the interview process.
