Job Overview: We are seeking a Digital Forestry Management Specialist to join our team in Gorongosa, Mozambique. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing digital solutions to support sustainable forestry practices in the region. This will involve working closely with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to promote the use of digital technologies in forest management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement digital solutions to support sustainable forestry practices
  • Work with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to promote the use of digital technologies in forest management
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities for digital innovation in forestry
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including local communities, government agencies, and other organizations
  • Provide technical assistance and training to local communities and government agencies on the use of digital technologies in forestry

Required Skills:

  • Strong technical skills in digital technologies, including data analysis and visualization
  • Experience working with local communities and government agencies in forestry or related fields
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Forestry or related field

Experience: 5-7 years of experience in forestry or related fields, with a focus on digital technologies and sustainable forestry practices

Salary: 5000-7000 SSP per month
