Job Overview

We are seeking a Digital Forestry Management Specialist to join our team in Tete, Mozambique. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing digital solutions to improve forestry management practices in Mozambique. This role will involve working closely with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to promote sustainable forestry practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement digital solutions to improve forestry management practices in Mozambique
  • Work closely with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to promote sustainable forestry practices
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities for digital innovation in forestry management
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including local communities, government agencies, and other organizations

Required Skills

  • Master’s degree in Forestry or related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in forestry management or a related field
  • Strong understanding of digital technologies and their applications in forestry management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

Education

The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in Forestry or a related field. A Ph.D. in Forestry or a related field is an asset.

Experience

The successful candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in forestry management or a related field. Experience working in a developing country is an asset.

Salary

The salary for this position is 40000-60000 SSP per annum, depending on experience.
