Job Overview
The Digital Forestry Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing digital solutions to support sustainable forest management in Mozambique. This will involve working with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to design and implement digital tools and platforms that promote sustainable forest management practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement digital solutions to support sustainable forest management in Mozambique
- Work with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to design and implement digital tools and platforms
- Conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities for digital solutions to support sustainable forest management
- Develop and maintain relationships with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of digital solutions in promoting sustainable forest management practices
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in Forestry or related field
- 5-7 years of experience in sustainable forest management or related field
- Strong understanding of digital technologies and their applications in sustainable forest management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and build relationships with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders
