Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and ensure compliance with local financial regulations (Banco de Moçambique) and international standards (Visa Global Compliance Framework).
- Develop and implement compliance protocols for digital payment platforms, including mobile money and e-wallet systems.
- Conduct audits of payment processing systems to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate compliance requirements into product development cycles.
- Provide training to internal stakeholders on evolving regulatory landscapes and best practices.
Required Skills
- Expertise in financial compliance frameworks (e.g., AML, KYC, PSD2).
- Strong understanding of digital payment ecosystems and cybersecurity principles.
- Proficiency in regulatory reporting and documentation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Portuguese.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, or related field. Advanced certifications (e.g., CFA, CAMS) are a plus.
Experience
3-5 years in financial compliance or digital payments, with experience in emerging markets preferred.
Salary
1,800,000 – 2,700,000 SSP annually, commensurate with experience.
