Job Overview
This role involves conducting comprehensive environmental impact assessments (EIAs) for infrastructure and development projects in Mozambique. Key Responsibilities
- Lead EIA studies for proposed projects including baseline data collection and impact prediction
- Prepare technical reports compliant with Mozambican environmental regulations and international standards
- Conduct stakeholder consultations and public hearings for project approval processes
- Develop mitigation strategies for environmental risks and biodiversity conservation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on mining, energy, and infrastructure projects
Required Skills
- Expertise in EIA methodology and ISO 14001 standards
- Proficiency in GIS mapping and environmental data analysis
- Strong understanding of Mozambican environmental legislation
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills
- Bilingual (English/Portuguese) communication abilities
Education
