Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in Lichinga, Mozambique. As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the stability and safety of our mining operations. You will be responsible for analyzing geological data, designing and implementing geotechnical systems, and monitoring site conditions.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct geotechnical investigations and analyze data to determine site conditions
- Design and implement geotechnical systems, including rock bolting, shotcrete, and drainage systems
- Monitor site conditions and provide recommendations for improving safety and stability
- Collaborate with other engineers and technicians to ensure that geotechnical systems are integrated with other aspects of the mining operation
- Develop and implement geotechnical monitoring systems to track site conditions
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology or Civil Engineering
- 5-10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, preferably in a mining environment
- Strong understanding of geotechnical principles and practices
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Education
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Geology or Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
Experience
Candidates must have 5-10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, preferably in a mining environment.
Salary
The salary range for this position is 50,000 – 80,000 SSP per month.
