Job Overview

The Hydrogen Fuel Cell Project Engineer will lead the design, implementation, and commissioning of hydrogen fuel cell systems for industrial and transport applications. Reporting to the Head of Renewable Energy Projects, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, external vendors, and local authorities to deliver high‑impact projects that align with Mozambique’s energy transition roadmap. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end‑to‑end engineering of hydrogen fuel cell projects, from feasibility studies to final commissioning.
• Develop detailed technical specifications, system designs, and integration plans for fuel cell modules, storage tanks, and balance‑of‑plant components.
• Coordinate with procurement, construction, and operations teams to ensure seamless project execution and adherence to budget and schedule.
• Conduct risk assessments, safety analyses, and environmental impact studies in compliance with Mozambican regulations and Shell’s internal standards.
• Manage relationships with technology suppliers, research institutions, and government agencies to secure permits, certifications, and technical support.

Required Skills

Education
