Job Overview

Lead geological exploration projects to identify and assess new mineral deposits in Tete. This role combines fieldwork, data analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to advance mining operations while adhering to environmental and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct field surveys and geological mapping to identify potential mineral deposits.
• Analyze rock, soil, and drill core samples to determine mineral composition and viability.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders, including resource estimates and exploration strategies.
• Collaborate with drilling teams and engineers to plan and execute exploration campaigns.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and company safety protocols during field operations.

Required Skills

• Expertise in geological data interpretation and mineral resource evaluation.
• Proficiency in GIS and geological software (e.g., Surpac, Leapfrog).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex mineral exploration challenges.
• Excellent communication abilities to present findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work in remote field conditions with minimal supervision.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Mining Engineering, or related field.
• Master’s Degree preferred but not required.

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in mining exploration, preferably in Africa or similar environments.
• Proven track record in leading field exploration projects.

Salary

250,000 – 400,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience.
