Nestlé Mozambique is seeking a dynamic Product Development Specialist to lead the creation and optimization of innovative food products tailored to the Mozambican market. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop new food products aligned with regional consumer preferences and nutritional needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality, safety, and compliance with local and international standards.
- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for product innovation.
- Optimize existing product formulations to improve cost-efficiency and shelf-life.
- Work closely with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients sustainably.
- Prepare technical documentation and support product launches from concept to market.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in food product development, particularly in emerging markets.
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations (ISO 22000, HACCP).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on innovation.
- Proficiency in using food processing software and laboratory equipment.
- Fluency in Portuguese and English.
- Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, or a related field.
- Postgraduate qualification in Product Development or Business Administration is an asset.
Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in food product development or a similar role.
- Experience in a multinational or fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Salary
2,000,000 – 3,500,000 MZN per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
