Job Overview
The Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and maintenance of quality systems across our manufacturing lines. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain HACCP, GMP, and ISO 22000 quality management systems.
- Conduct regular internal audits and coordinate external audits to ensure compliance with local and international regulations.
- Analyze production data to identify trends, root causes of non‑conformities, and opportunities for process optimization.
- Lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes, ensuring timely resolution and documentation.
- Collaborate with R&D to validate new product formulations and ensure they meet quality specifications.
- Provide training and mentorship to production staff on quality standards and best practices.
- Prepare detailed quality reports and present findings to senior management.
- Support supplier qualification and monitoring activities to maintain raw material integrity.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, HACCP, GMP, and ISO standards.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, SPSS) and quality improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities with a data‑driven approach.
- Effective communication skills in English and Portuguese.
- Ability to work cross‑functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high quality standards.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Green Belt are highly desirable and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.
Experience
Applicants must have 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience in quality assurance within the food and beverage manufacturing industry. Experience with multinational corporations and exposure to global quality standards will be viewed favorably.
Salary
