Job Overview
The Senior Mining Metallurgist will play a critical role in optimizing the mineral processing circuits at our Tete operations. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of metallurgical test work programs to optimize mineral recovery.
- Oversee the daily operation of the processing plant to ensure production targets and quality standards are met.
- Analyze complex datasets to identify trends and implement corrective actions for process deviations.
- Develop and manage reagent consumption strategies to optimize cost-efficiency and environmental impact.
- Collaborate with the maintenance department to minimize downtime through predictive metallurgical monitoring.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior metallurgists and plant operators.
- Ensure all metallurgical processes comply with international safety and environmental regulations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through the application of advanced process control technologies.

Education

Experience
Candidates must possess between 7 to 10 years of direct experience in mineral processing within a large-scale mining environment. Proven experience in managing complex metallurgical circuits and leading technical teams is essential. Experience in the African mining sector or with similar ore bodies is a significant advantage.
Salary
The offered salary for this position ranges from 120,000 to 180,000 SSP per month, depending on the candidate’s expertise and technical proficiency. This package is competitive and reflects the seniority and specialized nature of the role.
