Job Overview
This role focuses on designing and implementing smart city solutions in Quelimane, integrating IoT technologies, data analytics, and sustainable urban planning to create efficient, connected communities. The position requires collaboration with municipal authorities, technology partners, and local stakeholders to deliver cutting-edge urban solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement smart city infrastructure solutions including smart lighting, traffic management, and public safety systems
- Conduct feasibility studies for urban technology projects
- Collaborate with municipal authorities to align solutions with urban development goals
- Manage IoT sensor networks and data analytics platforms
- Provide technical training to municipal staff on smart city technologies
- Monitor system performance and optimize solutions for energy efficiency
Required Skills
- Expertise in smart city technologies and IoT systems
- Strong project management and stakeholder coordination skills
- Proficiency in GIS mapping and urban data analysis
- Knowledge of municipal regulations and urban planning principles
- Experience with Cisco Smart City platforms and solutions
- Excellent problem-solving and technical documentation abilities
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Urban Planning or related field
- Master’s Degree preferred but not required
Experience
- 3-5 years in smart infrastructure implementation
- Proven experience in municipal technology projects
- Project management certification (PMP) advantageous
Salary
200,000 – 300,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
