Job Overview
The Podcast Production Specialist will oversee the end-to-end creation of audio content, from concept development to post-production. This role requires collaboration with journalists, editors, and multimedia teams to produce engaging podcasts that align with Reuters’ mission of journalistic excellence. The position is ideal for a creative professional passionate about leveraging audio storytelling to amplify local and international perspectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, record, edit, and publish podcasts covering news, features, and interviews.
- Conduct research on trending topics in Mozambique and curate compelling storylines.
- Collaborate with reporters and producers to integrate audio elements into multimedia projects.
- Manage audio equipment, software, and editing tools to ensure professional-grade output.
- Monitor audience feedback and analytics to refine content strategy.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in podcast editing software (e.g., Adobe Audition, Audacity).
- Strong storytelling and audio production skills.
- Experience with sound design, voiceover recording, and noise reduction techniques.
- Knowledge of media publishing platforms (e.g., Spotify, Apple Podcasts).
