Job Overview
This role focuses on creating compelling digital narratives that highlight Mozambique’s cultural heritage, environmental initiatives, and community stories. The Digital Storytelling Specialist will collaborate with TVM’s editorial and production teams to develop multimedia content for online platforms, social media, and broadcast. The position offers opportunities to work on high-impact projects that align with TVM’s mission to educate and inspire audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and produce digital stories using video, audio, and interactive formats
- Collaborate with journalists, producers, and editors to integrate storytelling into TVM’s content strategy
- Utilize digital tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Canva) to create visually engaging content
- Research and document local stories that reflect Mozambique’s diverse communities
- Optimize content for SEO and audience engagement on platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook
Required Skills
- Proficiency in digital storytelling techniques and multimedia production
- Strong understanding of social media trends and analytics
- Creative problem-solving and adaptability in fast-paced environments
- Fluency in Portuguese and basic knowledge of local languages (e.g., Tete, Makua)
- Experience with content management systems and digital publishing tools
Education
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field. Advanced training in digital storytelling or multimedia production is a plus.
Experience
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in digital content creation, preferably within broadcast or online media environments. Experience working with public sector or non-profit organizations is advantageous.
Salary
1,500,000 – 2,500,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
