Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the end-to-end procurement process for mining consumables and heavy machinery parts.
• Liaise with freight forwarders and shipping agencies to ensure timely delivery of critical supplies.
• Monitor inventory levels to prevent stockouts of essential operational components.
• Verify that all incoming shipments meet quality standards and technical specifications.
• Maintain accurate documentation for customs clearance and regulatory compliance in Mozambique.
• Collaborate with the finance department to ensure timely payment to vendors and contractors.
• Identify potential supply chain bottlenecks and implement proactive mitigation strategies.

Required Skills

• Advanced proficiency in ERP software (such as SAP or Oracle) for procurement tracking.
• Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with local and international suppliers.
• In-depth knowledge of international shipping terms (Incoterms) and customs procedures.
• Excellent analytical skills for managing complex logistics data and inventory reports.
• Strong communication skills in both Portuguese and English.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, remote mining site environment.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is mandatory. Professional certification in procurement (such as CIPS) is highly desirable.

Experience

Candidates must possess a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in procurement or logistics, preferably within the mining, heavy manufacturing, or large-scale construction sectors. Proven experience in managing international freight and customs documentation is essential.

Salary

The monthly salary for this position ranges from 45,000 SSP to 65,000 SSP, depending on experience and qualifications.
