Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cybersecurity Architect to join our specialized security division in Quelimane. This role is critical to our mission of protecting complex, large-scale digital infrastructures. The Senior Cybersecurity Architect will work closely with cross-functional teams, including network engineers, software developers, and compliance officers, to ensure that security is baked into every layer of our technological ecosystem. Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive security architectures for enterprise-level cloud and on-premise environments.
- Lead the development of zero-trust security models to enhance identity and access management.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and threat modeling to proactively identify potential risks.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security protocols into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Develop and enforce organizational security policies and compliance standards.
- Provide expert guidance on emerging cybersecurity trends and technologies to senior leadership.
- Oversee incident response planning and lead technical investigations during security breaches.
- Optimize security automation tools to reduce manual intervention in threat detection.
Required Skills
- Expertise in designing secure network architectures and cloud-native security services.
- Advanced knowledge of encryption standards, firewall technologies, and intrusion detection systems.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for security automation.
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks such as GDPR, ISO 27001, and local data protection laws.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to architect solutions for complex security challenges.

Education
A Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a closely related field is required. Candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree and significant specialized certifications may also be considered.
Experience
A minimum of 7 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or architecture is essential. Proven experience in designing security solutions for large-scale enterprise environments is highly preferred. Candidates should demonstrate a track record of managing complex security projects and leading technical teams in high-pressure environments. Experience working within the African technology sector is a significant advantage.
Salary
