Job Overview
The Corporate Treasury Analyst will play a pivotal role in managing the bank’s liquidity, funding, and risk mitigation strategies. Reporting to the Treasury Manager, the analyst will monitor cash flows, execute foreign exchange transactions, and support the development of treasury policies aligned with regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor daily cash positions and forecast short‑term liquidity needs across all business units.
- Execute foreign exchange, money market, and derivative transactions in compliance with internal controls.
- Prepare and analyze treasury reports, including cash flow statements, funding ratios, and risk metrics.
- Assist in the development and implementation of treasury policies, procedures, and risk management frameworks.
- Collaborate with the Risk Management team to assess market, credit, and operational risks.
- Support the preparation of regulatory filings and ensure adherence to Central Bank of Mozambique guidelines.
- Participate in treasury system enhancements and automation projects.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in financial modeling and Excel.
- Knowledge of treasury management systems and banking software.
- Understanding of foreign exchange markets, money market instruments, and derivatives.
- Excellent communication skills for interaction with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Portuguese and English.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) are advantageous but not mandatory.
Experience
The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of experience in corporate treasury, cash management, or related financial functions within a banking or multinational corporate environment. Prior exposure to emerging market economies is a plus.
Salary
The compensation package ranges from 800,000 to 1,200,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The package includes performance‑based bonuses and other incentives.
