Job Overview
Enel Green Power Mozambique is seeking a highly skilled Energy Storage Systems Engineer to design, implement, and optimize energy storage solutions for renewable energy projects in Lichinga. Key Responsibilities
- Design and optimize energy storage systems for solar and wind energy integration
- Conduct feasibility studies for battery storage projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system compatibility with grid infrastructure
- Monitor and analyze system performance to improve efficiency
- Develop technical documentation and maintenance protocols
Required Skills
- Proficiency in energy storage system modeling (e.g., HOMER Pro, MATLAB)
- Experience with lithium-ion and flow battery technologies
- Strong understanding of power electronics and grid integration
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Fluency in Portuguese and English
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, or related field
- Master’s Degree preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification advantageous
Experience
- 3-5 years in energy storage system design or renewable energy engineering
- Proven track record in project management for energy infrastructure
- Experience in Mozambique or other African markets is a plus
Salary
1,500,000 – 2,500,000 MZN per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
