Position Overview
World Vision Mozambique is seeking a highly analytical and results-driven Senior Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Officer to strengthen program performance measurement, impact assessment, data quality assurance, and evidence-based decision-making across multiple development and humanitarian projects.
The successful candidate will lead monitoring systems, manage project indicators, conduct evaluations, and support donor reporting requirements while ensuring data integrity and accountability standards.

Key Responsibilities
Monitoring & Evaluation Management
- Design and implement comprehensive monitoring frameworks for donor-funded projects.
- Develop logical frameworks, performance indicators, and results measurement plans.
- Establish data collection methodologies and reporting systems.
- Monitor project progress against approved targets and milestones.
- Conduct routine field monitoring visits and data verification exercises.
- Support baseline, midline, endline, and impact assessments.
Data Management & Analysis
- Manage project databases and information management systems.
- Perform quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
- Produce dashboards, scorecards, and performance reports.
- Ensure timely collection, cleaning, validation, and storage of project data.
- Generate evidence-based recommendations for program improvement.

Evaluation & Learning
- Lead internal evaluations and external assessment coordination.
- Document lessons learned and best practices.

Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Economics, Development Studies, Public Health, Social Sciences, Demography, or related field.
- Master’s Degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, Statistics, Development Management, Public Policy, or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Professional certifications in M&E, Data Analytics, or Project Management will be an advantage.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of progressive Monitoring & Evaluation experience.
- Experience working with international NGOs, UN agencies, or donor-funded programs.
- Proven expertise in indicator development and performance measurement.
- Strong background in survey design and data analysis.
- Experience managing large datasets and reporting systems.
